Hormone Replacement Therapy

Estrogen and progesterone do NOT increase risk of breast cancer. In fact, estrogen is even breast protective! The idea that it increases risk is based on outdated research.....

I’m answering one of my most commonly asked questions: 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿?

• Estrogen and progesterone do NOT increase risk of breast cancer. In fact, estrogen is even breast protective! The idea that it increases risk is based on outdated research.

•How your estrogen and progesterone are 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 may promote cancer causing processes

• The type you use matter! Transdermal patches are beat for estrogen and microionized (oral or vaginal) is best for progesterone.

• Hormone Replacement Therapy should not be used within 10 years of hormone positive breast cancer and should be monitored closely with an experienced doctor and oncologist thereafter.
