We all know antioxidants are good for you but ever wonder what they actually are? 

🍅Antioxidants are natural compounds that respond to oxidative stress in the body. 

đŸ«Oxidative stress can be generated by food, stress, infections, toxins, and more. They perpetuate inflammation and damage cellular machinery, mitochondria, DNA, cell membranes and proteins. 

🍇Oxidative stress can accelerate aging, promote cancer cell growth, and is associated with just about any disease you can think of. 

đŸ„ŠAntioxidants neutralize oxidative stress and are the foundation of healthy cell function. Some of my favorite antioxidants are: glutathione, vitamin C, NAC, alpha lipoid acid, and the natural antioxidants found in colorful produce.
