Dr. Heidi Hook, N.D.
Born and raised in Auburn, California. Dr. Heidi Hook is a 1996 graduate of Bastyr University and is the owner of Auburn Naturopathic Medicine. Growing up with her dad as a local doctor inspired her to pursue medicine herself and become a naturopathic doctor. Personal illness with questions left unanswered by western medicine led her in the direction of naturopathic medicine. Dr. Heidi is passionate about helping people find their optimal health and that there are infinite possibilities on their path to healing. She has seen naturopathic medicine work in herself and her patients time and time again. She believes that the body, mind, and spirit want to heal and this inspires her to listen deeper to each person’s body, mind and spirit with her medical knowledge, experience and intuition to find the true path to each individuals needs.
Her practice focuses mainly on discovering the underlying causes of illness that is specific for each person…stress, nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, genetic variances that impact biochemistry, toxin loads, heavy metals, and others than then ultimately manifest into disease and illness. Dr. Heidi fills her free time with her husband and 2 beautiful daughters. Together they enjoy rock-climbing, horse back riding, surfing, gardening and just being together.
Dr. Chelsea Azarcon, N.D.
We are thrilled that Dr. Chelsea joined our team in this year. Dr. Chelsea is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor, trained at Bastyr University, San Diego. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. Inspired by her own lifelong, chronic health issues, she discovered her passion for integrative medicine. In trying to find answers for her own health, she has worked with some of the best conventional doctors in the country at places like the Mayo Clinic and UCLA hospital. She has also worked with many brilliant naturopaths, at one time a patient of Auburn Naturopathic Medicine herself. She found that when she combined conventional and naturopathic medicine, she achieved the greatest healing. During her undergraduate career, she researched the medicinal actions of traditional plants. These experiences shaped her medical perspective: she loves practicing research based integrative medicine.
She loves working with chronic illnesses, infections, and environmental toxicity and during her naturopathic training, helped educate other doctors about discovering hidden triggers of persistent illness. She also understands that chronic illness is not simply autoimmune disease but any condition from which someone has not been able to find relief, whether that be headaches, PMS, anxiety, insomnia, or weight gain. She takes a whole body approach to treatment, addressing each patient’s biochemical and nutritional needs, implementing foundations to healing, and identifying conditions preventing the body from working optimally. Because of her own experiences, she has deep compassion and a desire to work with patients as individuals to help them enjoy their best lives.
Dr. Chelsea enjoys writing, hiking, traveling to new places, and spending time with her service dog, Rey, who you might see helping her around the office.

Kathryn Lemlow, N.A., P.A.
Kathryn Lemlow was born and raised in San Francisco California. Early on she realized she had a strong affinity for country living, the outdoors and for gardening. In her quest to lose weight as a teenager she became interested in healthy eating and that was the beginning of a long quest into healthy living. She strongly believed that “we are what we eat”. She raised her children on organic produce she grew whenever there was garden space and on goats milk if there was room for a goat. After birthing 4 of her children at home she was inspired to pursue a career in medicine and was graduated from UC Davis FNP/PA program in 1986. Since then she has worked in Family Practice, Allergy and Asthma, Pediatrics, Correctional Medicine, Urgent Care and 17 years practicing Emergency Medicine. It was while practicing in the ER that she was diagnosed with a series of unexpected, supposedly unrelated chronic illnesses. In pursuit of help with these, Kathryn decided to explore the holistic approach to healing. She spent 3 years interning with a local holistic physician. It is this journey that has brought her to where she is today. She believes in the bodies innate ability to heal itself when given the tools it needs to heal. She believes in looking for the root cause of disease, the infections, the toxins, the nutrient deficiencies, the stressors that adversely affect the attainment of health. It is with this knowledge base and life’s wisdom that she believes that she can help anyone who is willing to help themselves find the path to wellness for themselves.
She is currently living in Auburn California on a farm with her eldest daughter and her son in law She is avidly gardening, raising goats, chickens, ducks and donkeys. She milks her goats and makes cheese and yogurt. Her grandchildren visit frequently. She loves the outdoors and practices yoga, swims , walks and occasionally goes paddle boarding.
